Michael Crowe earns his Private Pilot!

The Crowe can now fly! Congrats to Michael on earning his Private Pilot!

Michael is an amputee and ex-police officer has decided to change careers and start his training to become a Professional Pilot in the future! He has put a lot of hard work into getting his license as there were obstacles in his training such as receiving his medical. Michael is one of the few to have to do a SODA to receive his medical. The greatest thing was that he never gave up on his dream. He has been an inspiration for many other people in the community. If you see Michael give him a high-five!

Colton newest Private Pilot!

Colton Solos!
Super high-fives to Colton Spires for passing his Private Pilot
checkride in December! Colton soloed on his 16th birthday last year, and
became certificated at 17, well before graduating from high school.
Colton came to BFC three years ago and began flying right away. A
dedicated aviation enthusiast, Colton had already spent hundreds of
hours in the cockpit of his home simulator, and came to his first lesson
ready to learn. It didn’t take long before Colton was doing all the
flying and radio work, flying most of the maneuvers to checkride
standard well before he turned 16. Colton plans to become an airline
pilot, and with his commitment to learning and natural abilities as a
pilot, all who know him are confident he will reach his goals and beyond.
Please say hi to Colton when you see him around the club, and join with
CFI Bill in welcoming this young aviator to the world of general aviation.
